AC Hotel LA
The AC Hotel Downtown LA is a stunning part of the dual-branded Moxy hotel crafted in collaboration with architecture firm Gensler and the interior designer, Yabu Pushelberg. The design for the hotel was inspired by the spirit of an artist's loft, seamlessly blending the Spanish heritage of the AC Hotel brand with the vibrant Latin culture of Los Angeles.

As guests step into the enchanting 34th floor Sky Lobby, they are immediately captivated by the breathtaking 360-degree views of the magnificent Los Angeles skyline, coupled with access to an inviting outdoor rooftop bar.
At the core of our lighting design philosophy was the creation of an immersive atmosphere that allowed guests to fully embrace their surroundings. We strategically placed downlights throughout the lobby to accentuate the rich colors of the artwork and Spanish-inspired material finishes, infusing the atmosphere with a sense of vibrancy. While adjustable spike mounted uplights were used to illuminate the desert plants that grace the interior and rooftop spaces.
Throughout the day, our lighting design seamlessly integrates with the abundant LA sunshine that floods the reception area through expansive windows. As the sun begins to set, the lighting gradually takes center stage, enveloping the space in a warm, candlelit glow that fosters a deeper connection between guests and the hotel’s unique design elements. When the clock strikes 10 pm, the lighting undergoes a captivating transition, embracing a late-night convivial mood that beckons guests to indulge in the extraordinary rooftop bar experience.
